About

Emma Jane
Early 2013, I decided to pack in the career I had started to do something which would make me really happy - set up my own business baking bespoke cakes for weddings and events. In truth, my current self-employed remit is much more diverse - I now teach crochet workshops locally in Kent, bake bespoke cakes for weddings and events and early in 2014 took my business to the next level - adding cookie stamp design & product development as a string to my bow, with the launch of emmajanesbakery.co.uk. I'm busy, but I'm having a LOT of fun - and that's what really counts.

I started this blog back in 2011, initially as a way to share recipes with friends and family (also, to give myself the discipline to officially record the recipes I create). Almost all of my baking skills are self-taught and I've come a long way since the blog began (so please don't feel you need to scrutinise the early content). You'll find a mix of recipes, sugar paste tutorials, recipe reviews (and a few posts working my way through the un-photographed recipes Mary Berry's Baking Bible) as well as a few crafty tutorials here and there.

It makes my day when someone who reads my blog gets in touch - so please do email me if you have any questions or comments, especially if you've tried one of my recipes. You can contact me via email emmajane[at]cakesandcatwalks.com , tweet me @CakesCatwalks or get in touch via the Cakes and Catwalks Facebook page.
