Baking for a cause: The Eve Appeal

Make time for tea - fundraise for The Eve Appeal

I was recently contacted by The Eve Appeal with news of their latest fundraising campaign, 'make time for tea'. If you don't already know, The Eve Appeal, is the only UK charity which funds research into all five gynaecological cancers.  They are currently planning fundraising activity for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in March - asking bakers across the nation to hold a tea party in aid of the Eve Appeal - to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and fundraise for this very important cause.

Ovarian cancer is the fourth most common cause of cancer death in UK women.  Each year in the UK almost 7,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer and 4,300 women die.  The Eve Appeal is determined to change this - and you can help.

You can register for a fundraising pack here - the fundraising pack is free and contains a newly designed fundraising guide, a double sided poster / certificate, invitations, a collection box, a balloon, an official letter to confirm that your event is legit and an ovarian cancer information leaflet (everything you need to make your tea party a success, except for the cakes of course!).
